Students will have art class once a week.
Grades are based upon:
participation
follow instructions
reach lesson objectives
keep a positive attitude
All 4 =E 3= S 2= N 1 or less=U
Students also receive a conduct grade for their behavior in class.
WE CREATE! We learn how to look at different cultures, various types of art, create art and critique, discuss and evaluate art. Using our own experiences and meanings, we make art personal.

Due to concerns for health and being proactive, we will not share any supplies unless we use specific sanitation and disinfecting beforehand. The supplies listed below are per family and can be shared by siblings, except for the poster board. All students will need a place to keep their own art. A poster board folded in half and taped on sides leaving the top open is a great way to do so. If you already have some of these items for your regular class, that is perfect. No need for extra!
The following is a list of supplies for EACH FAMILY
Pencil
Sharpener
Eraser
Crayons (24 pk preferred)
Markers (8 or 10 pk- I like regular, not washable- but whatever you have)
Colored Pencils
Scissors (regular kid scissors with a stainless steel blade)
Glue (stick is less messy, but regular Elmer's is fine too and works well)
Copy Paper
2 pack of Black Sharpies or Permanent marker (fine tip regular thin not ultra thin)
Prang Watercolors 8 pk (or Crayola- going for true colors, so whatever you can find)
Crayola Oil Pastels box of 28
Full Size White Poster Board (or cardboard to tape together to make a portfolio)
Bag to put supplies inside (ziplock or whatever to keep them together)
